TURKEY WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ASSOCIATION (KAGIDER)

Turkey Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGIDER) is a non-governmental organization that aims to empower women through entrepreneurship. Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey is a non-profit non-governmental organization founded in September 2007 by 37 women entrepreneurs that engages in activities in Turkey.

KAGIDER has been involved in numerous projects and initiatives since its establishment in collaboration with components from the public, private sector, and civil society. The organization’s goals include preparing young women for working life, providing education and mentorship support to women who want to become entrepreneurs, making visible and increasing the number of role model women entrepreneurs.

The organization aims to empower women not only economically but also politically and socially, advocating for gender equality in opportunities between women and men. Active globally, KAGIDER is the founding association of W20, has a focal point in Brussels, has consultative status for UN ECOSOC, member of FCEM, AFAEMME, WEP and is one of the five founding members of Balkan Women Coalition. Since June 2023, Esra Bezircioğlu has been serving as the President of KAGIDER.
